Biography
Shannon was born and raised in Polson, Montana. After working as a law enforcement dispatcher and a veterinary assistant, Shannon went back to school to pursue a career in occupational therapy. After graduation, Shannon worked at Sacred Heart in Spokane, WA doing acute care for a year and a half.
During her time in Washington, Shannon and her husband spent much of their free time home in Montana, they eventually realized it was time for them to return home. Once back in Montana, Shannon started working at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in a variety of settings, including acute, sub-acute, and outpatient. She then worked for Polson Health and Rehabilitation doing inpatient rehabilitation and transitional care.
Shannon has additional training in the areas of wheelchair fitting and 24-hour positioning. Her professional interests include home safety and modifications, dementia care, and pediatrics. In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, baking, camping, gardening, and reading.
