Neuropsychologist

Ronan is only minutes away from sights such as Flathead Lake, National Bison Range, and the Mission Mountains, as well as only a few hours from the breathtaking Glacier National Park. St. Luke Community Healthcare is the largest provider of healthcare services in Lake County. We provide patient care on the Flathead Indian reservation which includes a number of school systems, and a diverse population from the surrounding area and neighboring towns. St. Luke provides medical and psychiatric care for many geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities from a local center. Ronan is family friendly, athletic supportive, and provides an abundance of experience with nature. St. Luke would like to add your expertise to our team.

We offer the following services:

  • Psychiatric assessment and medication management
  • Child through geriatric care by our medical staff in our 4 clinics
  • Psychotherapy support available and currently hiring additional LCSW’s to add to adult & child therapy department
  • RN Clinical Coordinator
  • Case Manager
  • Plan to hire a chemical addiction counselor

Position Description

Services primarily include neuropsychological testing, assessment and evaluation.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient neuropsychological services to clients as scheduled, with primary responsibility for psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Complete clinical documentation according to hospital medical records recommendations.
  • Maintain required billable hours as negotiated in contract.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the primary care clinic environment.
  • Maintain good standing with the medical staff, appropriate board and insurance entities.
  • Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
  • Remain current with updated research and best practices.
  • Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (including but not limited to acceptance and treatment of long term psychotherapy cases, a limited amount of ER crisis coverage and participation in case consultation meetings).

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Diagnose neurodevelopmental, neuropsychological, and psychiatric disorders in children and adults including traumatic brain injuries and dementia
  • Write psychological and neuropsychological reports
  • Demonstrate skills in working with a variety of cultures
  • Demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff
  • Utilize awareness of personal strengths and appropriate timing for referrals

Education and Experience:

  • A doctoral degree in psychology
  • Completion of postgraduate training in neuropsychology
  • Licensure (or license-eligible) as a psychologist in the state of Montana
  • Board certification in neuropsychology preferred
