About Desiree:
Desiree is a native Montanan, born in Missoula and attended Big Sky High School. Prior to pursuing her career in speech pathology, Desiree worked in case management caregiving, assisting patients with dementia, stroke, and other progressive illnesses.
She was a residential group home manager in an Oregon-supported Living program for 10 years, giving her a depth of experience working with communicatively impaired individuals.
Desiree was in the first class of the AHEC (Area Health Education Center) scholars program, completing the 2-year program in one year.
This program enhances inter-professional skills in healthcare practices in rural or underserved settings, making her an ideal fit for our Ronan team.
Desiree joined the St. Luke team in 2020. Her professional interests lie in augmentative communication, voice therapy, swallowing treatment, and school-age speech-language treatment.
She lives in Missoula with her family and enjoys collecting books, listening to vinyl, paddle boarding, and enjoying nature. Desiree is the self-proclaimed ‘resident nerd on nerd-related things and dinosaurs’.
Desiree also has ties to the Polson and Lake Mary Ronan areas.
