Biography

Education:

Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylavania
-Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (1977)

Bruce is originally from Philadelphia and lived in Montana for the past 28 years. Bruce began his career in the field of physical therapy in the US army as army-trained medic/physical therapy aide in January 1971. He became very interested after a vocational testing exam which suggested that he looks into physical therapy. After Bruce began his earliest courses of study, he knew that he had found his career. He first started civilian work in Pocono Hospital under Mr. Dick Lee, PT. Bruce worked in Pediatrics’ vascular testing lab and electromyography and worked in all clinical areas as well as became assistant chief director of physical therapy during his sixth year tenure.

In 1982, Bruce took a physical therapy position at St Joseph hospital in Polson and worked concurrently there at St Luke Community Healthcare Network in Ronan. At one point, he was working for two home health agencies, two nursing homes and the St Luke Community
Hospital. Bruce has now worked as a director of physical therapy department here at St Luke for the past 20 years.

Bruce’s strong passion with an exceptional care and respect for patients, width and depth of his knowledge and skills that he obtained through a tremendous amount of clinical experience in the field of physical therapy makes our department special place for our patients in this community.

Bruce’s special interests include many aspects of physical therapy such as wound care, manual therapy, orthopedics, pediatrics, health and fitness, sports medicine, amputee, hand therapy and career and staff development.
