Cortnee is a native of North Central Montana growing up in a small farming community. Cortnee has known that she wanted to be a physical therapist since a very young age by following her mother around who was also a physical therapist. Cortnee witnessed how her mother helped and impacted people’s lives. Cortnee has been working as a physical therapist for the past 14 years, primarily in the area of outpatient orthopedics.
Cortnee is particularly known as a sports enthusiast with basketball as her number one sport. She played intercollegiate women’s basketball at Carroll College for four years and is currently the high-school assistant women’s basketball coach at Bigfork Schools. She is a mother
of three and is very active in all of their activities as well. Cortnee and her family reside near Bigfork but she chooses to work at St. Luke Hospital because of her love for what St Luke stands for and the community.
Cortnee is now the department manager of the physical therapy department. Her tremendous clinical skills and knowledge with her warm personality have assisted many patients to recover from various physical conditions. Cortnee’s special interests include working with orthopedic injuries involving all age groups. She has a very strong manual therapy base with special certifications in dry needling and manipulation techniques.
Cortnee also specializes in edema therapy of the upper and lower extremities related to lymphedema following cancer treatments, post surgical edema and venous insufficiencies. Cortnee is a certified lymphedema therapist through the American Academy of Lymphatic Study.
